Aging Connections of Michiana

Aging Connections- Connection- resources - community- hands of support

Aging Connections of Michiana is a valuable nonprofit community resource that supports older adults, caregivers, and local service providers through education, guidance, and access to trusted services. By bringing together compassionate professionals and community partners, the organization helps create meaningful connections that strengthen support for older adults and their families.

As a provider, I often see that my patients need support in many areas of life beyond hearing care alone. For that reason, trusted community resources are incredibly important. In caring for my patients, I have always wanted to offer support not only for their hearing health, but also for their overall well-being and quality of life.

Over the past year, I have greatly valued my involvement with Aging Connections as a member, including participation in the Fall Health Fair and several informative seminars. One session on fall prevention was especially meaningful, as individuals with even mild hearing loss face a greater risk of falls. The insights I gained have helped me share practical strategies with my patients and better support their health and safety. I have also been grateful for the opportunity to connect with other professionals in our community who share a strong commitment to serving older adults.

Education is at the heart of Aging Connections’ mission. Through workshops, seminars, and informational programs, the organization offers practical knowledge that helps older adults live with greater confidence, independence, and engagement. Topics such as health and wellness, financial literacy, and technology provide guidance that is both relevant and useful in everyday life.

I am grateful for the role Aging Connections plays in our community and for the many ways it helps older adults and families feel more supported, informed, and connected. It is a meaningful resource for our region, and I deeply appreciate the work it does.
